There will be a free 3-day live webinar on editing using Final Cut Pro, Thursday-Saturday 9am-4pm California, USA time at http://www.creativelive.com for anyone interested. If you can't watch live, they repeat the show once or twice in its entirety right after the live webinar ends. The good thing about the live show is that there are breaks, while the rebroadcasts have none.

From the description, it sounds like they will cover topics of general interest to video editing as well as software specific ones. I don't think Final Cut Pro is a very direct competitor to Videostudio because of the price difference and it works on apple computers only.
