PSP x5 shutting down

Post by beilart »

Every time use the offset function, PSP shuts right down with some sort of an error. Can you address this please and fix. Yes, I already have all the updates, service packs and patches. And yes, I tried the live chat. She just sent me the update link.

Yeah Live chat isn't full support. If it's still under the 90 day warranty you might be able to get more dedicated help. Otherwise you'll have to pay the support ticket fee for direct support from Corel.

Here it's just a bunch of users trying to help. On occasion someone from Corel might come by and try to help, but it's not that common.

What can you tell us about when this happens? Does it crash the second you click the Offset command or does it crash when you hit "Ok" on the Offset dialog?

Does the bit-depth of your image matter? For example a 16-bit image vs an 8-bit image? Background layer vs regular Raster Layer.

It crashes on a raster layer when I hit the ok and it is a 16 bit image. I am under a 90 day warranty but I don't think I am going to get any help. Might be time to head back to Photoshop.
