Browser Protect

Post by rcchen »

This is something I hope will help all users out there. I found that I had problems with my Video Studio Pro very similar to

000015088 - VideoStudio Pro X4/X5 failed to launch with crash error

The Knowledge Base says to remove Browser Manager for this.

Please note another addon called Browser Protect also causes this error. I found when I removed BrowserProtect (add-on as well as the BrowserProtect.exe lying in Task Manager) VideoStudo Pro works again.

Hi rcchen

Thanks for the info, I have not had the problem but am aware of some posts regarding this problem. I have added Browser Manager to the post title to make it more visible should anybody search the forum.

I too have the same problem with Corel Video Studio x5 crashing and not coming on line when started as well as numerous crashes while working on a project ( IT IS GETTING REAL BAD).
I have read and tried to get this fixed but it still does the same thing.

Hi bendgee

The browser problem is quite specific in that Video Studio never runs.

If you are able to run VS then your problem is not the same.

Try resetting the program

Manually resetting Corel VideoStudio Pro X5 to its Factory Default Setting
