Text attrib. change to prev. setting when starting to type.

Post by LJL »

(PI XL) I find this really annoying and don't know what I'm doing wrong...what's happening is that I type some text with my desired font and colour, etc. I then click on another area of the screen to put the cursor at a new position to create a new text object. If I then go to the text attribute panel and choose a different font, size and/or colour, I have to reclick on the image to position the text object again. It reverts the attributes back to the previously used ones.

Can anyone see anything wrong with my method? I am obviously clicking in the wrong sequence...

Thanks,

Lloyd

Create string one with new attributes, type string two, then change to new attributes. If later, you select string one, the attributes box will reflect the last changes you made to string two.

What you are experiencing is the normal way PI handles business, different than some other graphic programs.

Most programs I'v worked with handle it similiarly. My work around is simply to open up the new text field and then change the options for it.
