Hi,
i'm new using videostudio so i have some basic questions.
I have added some pictures too the timeline(slideshow) and i want too add some pictures between items on the timeline.
i would like to move items too the right side, including music, text that is already placed underneath the pictures...
With adobe premiere this is really simple, i have watched about 100 clips at you tube but can't find it.
I have tried using the CTRL key but than i need to select each item seperate...way to much work to select hundreds of items...
Seems to be very simple to me...?
links about the basic use of videostudio 5 or 6 would also be helpfully
many thanks...
Joachim

Re: Basic Moving of all items on the timeline
Hello
If you just want to add pictures in the middle of the top video track then you just drag them down from the library to the place you want them - the rest of the clips in the top track will move right to make room.
to move items in the overlay tracks - click on the first one you want to move - go to the last clip on the track - hold down 'Shift' while you click on it - all clips selected - left click over them and slide right (or left if needed)
to select multiple tracks click on the first clip along in the highest track then hold down shift as you select the last (only) clip in other tracks.
There is a procedure called Ripple Editing which VS does have which locks all tracks together so they all stay relative to each other - but it can sometimes be a bit confusing to use - but worth investigating

Re: Basic Moving of all items on the timeline
Hi Brian thanks for your quick answer. I apriciate that.
Adobe premiere uses an "ARROW" to select everything at the timeline and move it a little bit further...(all tracks underneath each other)
no hassle to select picture one and scroll to the end of the timeline, click again and do the same for each trackline.
To be honest, i'm disapointed about that.
Another thing i don't like is when i change the duration of a picture, it overlaps other pictures and it automaticly adds a transition.
And when changing the length from 4 sec to 10 sec i have a very LONG transition...so i need to move all tracks again...ow boy
i have spend 4 houres today and have 34 seconds of slideshow
