I just installed VSX6 Ultimate, and every time I start the program the annoying "What's New!" window pops up. I went into the message preferences and unchecked both options, but that didn't do the trick. Corel, say it aint so that you are not allowing the user to disable this annoying popup window.
Please help.

You went to far, the option is on the What's New screen in tiny white letters: "Do not show on startup."
That option is only visible when VS first starts up.

MotionStudio 3D 1.0; Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X7 (w/o sp1) (Download), Corel PaintShop Pro 15.2.0.12 (Download)

OK, call me crazy, non observant or just clueless, but I spent a few minutes searching the Whats new page for the do not show at startup and can't see it.
At the top, it says what's new in big letters. Underneath it, it says You must sign-in to use the Corel Guide in big lettering and then underneath that, it says, "Become a member of the Corel Community and take advantage of all the free content and specials Corel has to offer. We are constantly making new content for you to use in your productions and once you have logged in download free templates, music, effects and get special pricing on Corel and partner products." Underneath that in a green box it says "Register Now". At the bottom of the window is a banner promoting training and support, with an (800) number. If I click on the banner, it takes me to a Corel website asking me to spend money on additional training and support

Re: VSX6 disable corel guide?
The box you are seeing is NOT the Corel guide (which is where the confusion comes in ) and I do not think you can stop the box you are seeing from popping up until you register - why not just register - it does not cost any thing and may be to your advantage later if you lose your serial number or similar. click on the Register Now button and it only asks for your e-mail address.
once you have registered that pop up will stop and you will get the Corel Guide which you can stop from popping up. The Corel guide also contains a 'Do More' section where you can download various additional free components.
