I’m using Corel VideoStudio Pro X3
I’m not sure how to do something that seems like it should be relatively simple, but the answer is escaping me.
I’m making a very simple movie using photos only. I need to change the play time of each photo to vary in duration. When I click on the individual photo in the Timeline view and drag it to extend or decrease the amount of time it plays for, it affects the duration of the following photo, either lengthening it or shortening it. Is there a way to adjust one photo’s duration without affecting the next in line? In other words, is there a way to fine-tune one photo, while having all others maintain their current time properties?
Thank you very much for reading.

not sure what is happening there or what exactly you are doing - but you should be able to change any one image without affecting any of the others.
try just clicking on the one clip - open the options panel and change the 'photo duration' time there - that should only change the one image.

Hi
I do not understand why other photos are changing.
If you change the duration of a clip the clips to the right will be pushed along the timeline, but they will keep their duration.
If you wish to accurately change the duration of a photo.
Double click the clip will open the Options Panel (below the library)
From the Photo tab change the duration of the digital clock. You can increase this frame by frame if you wish.
Your photo will increase/decrease in length moving all clips to the right.

Re: Changing Duration of a Clip Without Affecting The Next?
Thank you kindly for the replies. I've tried both dragging the photo in TimeLine view and manually changing the duration in the options panel, and in both instances it cuts into the duration of the following clip. It also automatically adds a transition effect. I'm just not sure what the issue is.

Hi
Are your clips in the top (video ) track or the lower Overlay tracks.
