Am trying to find out why I get a "Invalid Token" message when I try to upload a vid I created (and am happy with!) to Youtube. It6 goes through the whole saving process, then when it's time for Youtube to acknowledge, I get the Token message.
The orig vid was done in MPEG3, but the corel menu only gives me the option of saving as MPEG4. Could that be a problem? I am totally happy with how the program put the vid together with music, but youtube keeps saying it is a "video project" and to turn it into a file. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks.

Hi
And welcome to the forums.
When you work with video studio you add clips to the timeline, it is here that you edit and create your movie.
You are working on a Video Studio Project, when you do File-“Save As” the project is saved as a VSP file. This file is not a Video File but a project file only used by Video Studio.
It seems as though you are trying to upload this type to YouTube.
You have to convert the project to a suitable video file, using Share Create Video file, Mpeg4 has been used extensively for You Tube.
There is an option from Share-Upload to web, this will first render the Project to a suitable video file, (mpeg4) then allow you to Upload.
The process does have a duration limitation of 15 minutes, I think?
But it does seem as though you are trying to upload a VSP file, and that will not work.

Re: Video Studio ProX3-why do I get a "Invalid Token" mesg?
Trevor,
Thanks for the reply! I am new to Corel Video Studio. Have worked in Avid before, but can't use my version in Win 7, and can't afford a newer version. Have used Corel Photoshops since '80's and LOVE it!

Where do I find this? Is it part of the Video Studio package? an extra thing you have to buy? Download? Is it Windows? Please share, thanks.
I don't mind the waiting period to load, just happy to have something I can use to share.
Thanks again.

Re: Video Studio ProX3-why do I get a "Invalid Token" mesg?
Hi
Using Video Studio, there are a few tabs across the top
Capture—Edit and Share etc
Selecting the Share Tab opens a panel below the library
This is the panel that you select the template to convert the project to a Video File.
I suggest Upload To web as this provides suitable settings.
Once the project is rendered/converted to a video file an upload window will open allowing you to access your YouTube account.
You are not required to use this and can simply close the window.
A thumbnail of the new video file will be placed in the library allowing you to play to view the quality.
You can upload to youtube at your leisure.

Re: Video Studio ProX3-why do I get a "Invalid Token" mesg?
Thanks, Trevor. When I go to the SHARE window, there is NO Upload to Web button anywhere. There are only Upload to YouTube and Upload to Vimeo.
I tried "create a Disk" thinking that might give me the settings, but after going through its hoops, I end up with a frilly postcard around (which I don;t want!) some strange music that is not mine, and still there are no buttons to save it, plain and simple.'
I am working with Version 3. Does that make any difference?
Thanks again.
Rita (getting discouraged)

Yes - Version 3 didn't have an "Upload to Web" icon - BUT it did have "Upload to Youtube" - which is surely what you are trying to do - so do what Trevor suggested but after "Share" go straight to "Upload to Youtube" .
in later versions the "Upload to Web" choice was added but when you click on it you still get Vimeo, Youtube, plus Facebook and Flikr.
Create disk does as it says - prepares your video and burns a DVD disk

Re: Video Studio ProX3-why do I get a "Invalid Token" mesg?
Hi Rita
Thanks Brian,
As Brain mentioned the Upload to Web was added for later versions, the options will give a suitable template as mpeg4.
You can either use the uploaded panel or logon to your own YT account.
Burning a disc
Video Studio X3 does not provide suitable means of burning a disc, a free authoring program was provided called DVD Movie Factory 7SE.
This should be available after selecting Share-Create Disc, if not then the program needs installing, from the Corel Guide check for updates.
Do not use the DVD 2010 program, its rubbish.
