can you explain exactly what you mean please by "I select a title and try to bring it down to title bar 2 it won't come"

What exactly happens when you click on the title - hold down the left mouse key - and drag the title down into the timeline. Does it just refuse to move or what.

And if it will not move down into the timeline how is it disrupting every thing if it is still in the library.

it is not a good idea to do your chapters in the timeline - they do not always appear correctly in the "Create Disc" module - better to do them in the create disc module.

Brian -- I suspect he just means adding chapter titles as a lower third overlay as well as other captions. I think that is what he means by 'subtitles' as opposed to foreign language subtitles.

But like you, I am also interested in his exact workflow and any error messages that might appear.

Ken you will have to bear with me as I explain what I am trying to do . I am using Corel Video Studio x5. I am making a live story from photos and some small videos of my Granddaughter who is graduating this year.
When I started this video I did not make chapters as I did not know how many pictures I had of different time periods.
Once we got past the baby years I want to go to the school years and would like to start a new chapter title down on my TITLE LINE but I am having a hard time to get the new title to stay when I try to bring it down to the title line.
Possibly this might be to much for me ( senior short on video experience)
I would love to have a mentor any takers?? Bendgee

Most users on here will try to help you and answer your questions - so you have as many mentors as it takes and indeed if you post all your queries here on the open forum you will have the benefit of the input from more than one user per problem.

to insert a title in the title track.

first make sure you are in 'Edit' mode (tab along the top)

open the title library by clicking on the letter 'T' to the right of the preview window.

choose the title you want to use and left click on it and hold the left mouse key down (title thumbnail will have yellow lines around it)

while still holding the left mouse key down slide your mouse so that the cursor slides down to the title track.

when you reach the title track release the mouse key and the title appears in the title track.

Now when you do that what EXACTLY happens - we cannot see you screen so we need you to be precise - just saying it doesn't stay does not help us to help you
