Is there a way to keep the user settings in Corel Ulead DVD MovieFactory Pro 7.00.398 ?
The capture settings always defaults to 4:3 and have to set each time I run the application.

Hi Coral
Sorry for the delay in replying to your post.
I do not have Movie Factory installed so cannot check these details, but using Video Studio you were able to set the default aspect from the splash/startup screen.
If the start-up screen does not show we were able to activate via preferences (F6)
Then re-boot the program.
That’s assuming DVD MF is similar to Video Studio.

Re: User Settings In DMF7
Trevor -- unfortunately, MF 7 (Pro) acts differently to VS in this regard. There is no such setting under Preferences, nor any choice on the start-up screen (only the type of disc).
However, if you select Movie Template Manager for DVD under the first icon in the bottom left of screen (Settings and Options), then there are a number of options listed. First there are 4:3 settings (High, Good, Standard and Long Play). Then similar ones for 16:9. I select 16:9 High which uses a bitrate of 7000 kbps, though this is editable higher (or lower). If I then click out of Movie Template Manager with that selection still highlighted, then select the cogwheel 'Project Settings' icon (second from left), then the burning properties reflect the settings for 16:9 High which I have selected.
Moreover, when I close the program then reopen it for a new project, the 16:9 High remains the output format.

Re: User Settings In DMF7
Hi
Thanks Ken for the update on DVD Movie Factory.
Having just upgraded to Windows7 I have not installed DVD MF so could not check.
I just don’t need the program other than for reference
I may however install XP over W7 to allow me to install older Corel versions?
Cheers
