Face Recognition - Duplicate Entries of Same Person

I have around 10,600 photos. I ran the above tool and it identified around 6,500 faces, mostly put in to groups. Having put names to around 1,000 faces, I decided to run the tool again. My thinking being is that it would be able to sort the faces more accurately and so create larger groups.

However this does not seem to be the case. It has now identified around 12,000 faces ( 5,500 remaining from the first run and then all 6,5000 again). I have now got the same face tagged twice in around 1,000 cases, as the same photograph appears twice under the same name? I only noticed when I clicked on the individuals name. If I delete one of the two, it actually deletes both.

Can anyone help me in that I would like to reset the feature and start again, or somehow remove the duplicate entries under each name? Hope this makes sense.
