I suggest all ASP users to go there and post your complaints/questions/doubts to see if we can provoke a response from Corel."Why does Corel continue to sell AfterShot Pro, when there have been no added support for cameras in almost a year, and long confirmed bugs are not fixed, and apparently no development is going on, despite serious performance issues.
Regular updates to the AfterShot Pro facebook page ceased by the end of may 2012. The download site for plugins is down. The program can't check for updates because that webpage is also down.
But it's still possible to purchase a license, even though if your camera is less than a year old, it's probably not supported.
Is Corel simply robbing people of their money, when they continue to sell licenses to a program that appears to have been discontinued?"

Re: Post your complaints to Corel!
Tried to go to your link but it is not active any more.
I do agree that Corel need to be more active in their communication to product purchasers. However this seems to be something that Corel is particularly bad at. This is probably a reflection of the company culture.

Still learning after all these years!

Re: Post your complaints to Corel!
Yes, its quite disappointing. Corel should really come out and tell users what is going on. For some reason, Corel is still selling it for $60. http://www.corel.com/corel/product/inde ... ageCode=en If they abandoned it, then I hope consumers take careful note and remind others online. OpenSource is certainly the way to go for most applications whenever possible.

At least one can hope that the fact that the "Download Trial" link doesn't work will keep people from buying it!coolrat wrote:Yes, its quite disappointing. Btw the discount price of $60 does not even apply when visiting their site from a danish location, in which case the price i equiv. of $120 and the upgrade is equiv of $95.
