PhotoImpact on Citrix

Post by SBCIT »

I am trying to get Photoimpact to run for all our users (we have a site licence) and we have just installed citrix in our environment. When we tested it it worked fine... but we have since discovered that photoimpact will only allow one instance of itself per machine that it is installed on (ie we have 4 citrix servers and can therefore only 4 users can run photoimpact) is it possible to allow more that one instance? Can it be set to be one instance per session? Help! :? :?

I have never heard of Ulead allowing unlimited Site Licensing. Meaning you buy 5, 10, 30, 50, 100 licenses, each license for (X) number of computers. You purchase 10 licenses and you get 10 installations on 10 computers. If you install 10 licenses on one Server 10 computers can use the software. If you install 10 licenses on 10 Servers, 10 computers total get to use the software.

Initially you would install the Ulead Software on one Server with multiple Workstations. I am not sure what the effect of the Volume License will be when installed on multiple Servers, but this may indeed be you problem.

I believe you will have to clear this issue with Ulead TECH Support, or Customer Support for Volume Licensing.

If you purchased 10 Licenses and the Citrix Servers will only let you use 4 Licenses, then this is an issue you will have to take up with Citrix.

This environment is not supported by Ulead. The software should be installed individually on each workstation. Also, it is important that you have the same number of licenses for the number of workstations you are going to install it to...
