I am using PSP since version 7 and never had such ugly and disturbing problems than with version X5.
1.
When I try to save a new file the program hangs in 50% of all cases. Directly after clicking onto the icon the program stops without any message. I just can close it with the task manager and restart it. This did already cost a lot of time with lost data.
2.
Sometime when I select a tool (for example the pencil) I do not get the fields, checkboxes and droplist to change the settings of this tool. This bar just stays empty. I have to close the program and restart it to get these options. This is not always but sometime.
Does someone has any idea where these problems come from? And a solution would be great.
Thanks, Joe

Re: Ugly problems with PSP X5
The problems are growing:
3.
If I open the program with Editor and Manager the manager shows in the navigation box the two entries "Computer" and "Desktop". In front of "Computer" I see the typical "+". In the moment I click onto the "+" this sign disappears but nothing happens. The directory does not open and so I do not get access to my directories. I just can close the program and try it again and sometimes it works.
I get no contact to the technical support because I am just a little, stupid, standard user. I wish back the time when PSP was made by Jasc.

Unfortunately, staff are not visiting this forum. You might have better luck posting a request on their FB page. Someone monitors that page and you might get a faster response. Just a suggestion.

I know that staff is not visiting this forum but my hope was that someone else has an idea. In former times it was possible to get support via the German Corel page but this is no longer possible but for special users with a premium support.
What do you mean with FB page?

FB page = Face Book page
you can find the Corel page here :- https://www.facebook.com/Corel?fref=ts
but I guess if you do not know what FB page means you do not have a facebook account - so you will need to join facebook to see that page.

Oh, I have a Facebook account but I normally do not use it.
I never thought in posting problems on a Facebook account of Corel. Is that a usual way? Sounds very strange to me.

Re: Ugly problems with PSP X5
Take the Corel Facebook page as being like a shop window where people can see what is happening with Corel. Due to Corel making it so difficult to obtain information - (you cannot get into the shop unless you have money in your hand). Placing a comment on their facebook page would be like placing a big complaint poster on that shop front window so everyone can see. More likely to get a response there than in this basement forum.
