Instant projects templates- Can't find them?

I had videostudio 4x which was upgraded from 2x on a laptop computer. I recently got a new desktop and loaded the X4 on that.

The laptop has many files listed to choose from when I go to the instant projects.

They are listed under the drop-down menus "beginning", "middle", "end", "complete", etc. There are probably 20-40 choices for each drop-down choice.

On my new install, there is only 1 choice on each. I did not purchase any add on templates. How do I get the others back? Is there a way to transfer them from the laptop?
I tried loading some templates from the help button/do more tab and downloaded and installed the templates there, but got only some very simple templates that went under the "custom" drop-down menu.

Any suggestions? What am I missing? Was there some free template pack that I downloaded or got on the original X2 disk, or X4 downloaded program that I did not install to the new computer or that I downloaded after installing the X4?

The actual templates themselves for versions X4, X5 and X6 are stored in separate folders under :-

C:\Users\Brian\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\VSPTemplate

first thing is to check whether you actually have anything in there

Some installations of Video Studio require two files, the program file (about 800Mb) and a Content file (about 480Mb)
This really depends on what you purchased?

Have you installed the “VSX4 Contents.exe” file.

In addition to the lack of Instant Projects the Video library samples will also be limited to a few, as well as the Disc Menus.

I figured it out, sort of, I think, but still need help. Looking back to my order from 2011, it seems that I had a second download called:

ESD TEMPLATE PACK # 2

I do not think I have that. Where would I be able to download this or is there an easy way to transfer those from my windows vista laptop installation to my version on windows 7 on my new desktop?

So the installation file was only 800Mb ish in size.

I do not recognise the ESD Template Pack 2, I suppose it could be the Contents pack, but calling it template would indicate a DVD Disc Menu pack, I could be mistaken of course.

If you have only partly installed the program the extra pack completes the installation by adding a lot of content, not only the Instant Projects but Smart Sound packages, DVD Menu Templates, Library Samples, possibly FX filters.

Be warned -- Transferring files from one pc to the other may cause the program not to run, the programs being covered by Protexis Licensing, if the program has been seen to have been modified it may disable it.

The programs Installed Instant Projects files can be found here
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Pro X4\EditingStyle\Style

There are about 100 available for download via the Do More. They will populate the Custom folder.

Your best option is to find the downloaded installation files.
You could try Corel Support to see if they will make the download available again?
