distortion on edges of video clip

Hi all, a quick question. While watching some of my practice videos, I notice a blurring and or distortion on the edges of some video clips. Is this a result of a to much bright or to much color I have added, or is it a result of both. Thanks Magoo70

Could just be the result of seeing the overscan area in VideoStudio - can you post up a screen shot of the video showing the distortion ?

Such edge blurring is particularly common in analogue video which has been converted to digital...

Sir I tried many times to stop the video,but I was not able to capture a picture, I think your guess, was probably correct. I am going to put this practice video on dvd and see what comes out thank you. Magoo70

There is no distortion on the dvd, other than my mistakes, sigh. Thank you for your help, back to the drawing board!!!!!
