Hi sorry for this dumb question but I'm looking to buy VIDEOSTUDIO ULTIMATE X6 I have seen it advertised as a MINI-BOX does anyone know what this is??
I cannot get a response from the supplier

it says a box which comes with no documentation - but I didn't think X6 came with a printed manual anyrate - so all boxed versions now must be mini-boxes

I can't image what the bolded text is supposed to be. All you get is the product key in a minib-box? No CD or anything else?

I am always leery of any resellers on Amazon and others.

This looks wrong to me. The genuine boxed version comes with the two disks "VS X6" and the "Ultimate" add-ons BUT no manual. There is a piece of paper shownig the address for the .pfd file of the Manual to download. The product key is stuck on the back of the envelope containing the VS X6 disk. I got mine directly from Corel as an update to X5 so I know it is the genuine article.
I questioned the lack of a Manual. It turns out to be the latest bit of cost saving. The .pfd version looks as if they just photocopied the Manual. I prefer something to read at bedtime and a reference to hand so I thought of printing it but there are 224 pages!!

Do you have a link for that Mini Box version?

As terfyn said the X6 Ultimate should have 2 discs.

If you Google Corel VIDEOSTUDIO ULTIMATE X6 MINI-BOX EN you will see a lot of them
Yes it does have 2 discs (one program one ultimate pack) and serial
I did keep onto one supplier and in the end they replied with
Upon checking the specification, I have managed to locate the required information. Please see below:
This is the full retail package including serial and manual.
So no guessing what one I plumped for? with very little difference in price
Just waiting for it to arrive now (fingers crossed there info is correct)

As far as I know there is no manual with the "full retail" version. It is available as a pdf download from Corel.

What may be included is a "Startup Guide"

Yep, you are correct. Just got my Mini Box from Corel and it contains just the two discs, one with the activation key on the sleeve. I got nervous too because, being a long time VS user, when I saw boxed version, I guess I just instinctively thought it was the full box version as it has been in the past, especially at that price. So not to worry if you get the Mini Box, everything EXCEPT the manual is in there. Hope this helps!!

When you install X6 it puts 7 or 8 different language versions of the user guide in pdf format on your PC - no need to download it - you already have it.

find them in the main programme folder - in a folder called "User Guide"

I always delete all the others apart from the English one
