Here is some information to ponder.
In Preferences on the Edit tab is an option to select resampling quality: Good, Better, or Best. I just discovered what "Best" will do when sharing to an AVC format. If GPU Accelerated Encoding is on (on Performance tab), the actual GPU activity is much more active when "Best" is selected. When "Good" is selected, there is hardly any GPU activity, one percent or less. Some other differences when GPU encoding is on are "Best" renders faster, and it uses CABAC encoding. "Good" results in CAVLC encoding.
