General 3D Question on Softwares

I like the Cool 3D software. It is very user friendly. Nice price too.
Does anyone have any experince with any other 3D programs that are similiar, but might have more flexibility. For example the camera in Cool 3D can't be completely animated. I'm don't need any human animation ability or environment models, just 3-D text and other basic objects.

The only other program I have any knowledge of is 3D Studio Max which is about as far away on the complexity (and price) scale from Cool 3D as possible.

some title that I use or I've seen: 3DCanvas, Anim8or (freeware), Milkshape 3D, Blender (freeware)..
with 3DCanvas you can create your object in Cool3D and import it in the scene.. move the camera and the objects.. all these software are more complex to use than Cool3D.
I don't really remember if Milkshape do some animation..
All this software are used for game objects creation.

Carrara 3D Basics 2 is a very nice piece of software which is the baby brother to Eovia™ Carrara™ 4. Inexpensive and beautiful UI. A different UI will necessitate some study.
