VSX5 Simple Edit Help

I have been using VSX5 for several months now and I just love it. I know that I have the trimming of the beginning and ending down pat but now I am looking for the simple way of trimming and deleting a video stream inside the file. It is like when I want to delete out a commercial and then continue on with the video. What is the easiest way to do that?? I can not seem to figure it out!! Thanks!!!

The procedure for cutting a bit out the middle is very similar to removing the ends.

move the timeline cursor to the point where you want the removal to begin - make sure the video clip is selected and click on the scissor tool under the preview window.

Now move the cursor to the point where the bit you want to keep begins and use the scissor tool again.

now click on the bit you want to remove so that it has yellow lines all around it - press the delete key on your keyboard - commercials gone

keep repeating on all bits you want to remove.
