Pro X5 - Uploading to YouTube question

Post by pacman »

Hi I have Video Studio Pro X5.

Today I did a screen capture with voice over. When I play the video in Video Studio it looks and sounds fine. My problem comes when I upload to YouTube.

First I did a straight save to youtube. This screen capture appeared distorted, the text was unreadable.

I then saved the file as WMV and uploaded it to YouTube. This time the screen capture appeared very narrow, much narrower than when it played in the player. The WMV file is 35MB.

Then I saved it as an MP4. This is an enourmous file, 364MB, it's taking an age to upload to YouTube, yet it's only 5 minutes of screen capture and voice.

Can anyone offer advice on the most effective way to do a screen capture with voice-over and upload to YouTube?

Thanks!

Tony

Hi,

I have put up a number of tutorials such as this one here :- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yoYK2cvG-NA

which I do by putting the original screen capture in the VideoStudio timeline then going to "Share >> Upload to Web >> mpeg-4" - once the video is finished I cancel the auto upload to youtube - log on to youtube website and upload the video - you can if you want use the auto upload but I am uncomfortable with not actually controlling the upload myself.
