Can VS6 save as a VS2 file?

Post by Brain Champagne »

If I download a trial of VS6 and create a file, can it be saved in an earlier format so that if I go back to VS2 I can open the file and continue to work on it?

No. Later versions of VS can only "save as" back two versions i.e. X6 can only "save as" either X5 or X4 format. If you had X4, you would be able to "save as" X2 format.
