Hi

what version of Video Studio are you using. :?:

Do you mean Fade-In to a slower clip then and Fade again to the normal speed clip.

or are you trying to vary the speed over a single clip.

This is also my question - is there a simple way to fade to slow motion or faster motion while in a single clip. I've done a slo-mo by chopping a clip into pieces around the desired event, then adjusting the speed of the now broken clip using Speed/Time-lapse, but that's a pain. I upgraded to VSPX5 hoping, but I don't find it. It does not look like it's going to be in X6 either. When? Just a note that Adobe Premier Elements 11 has this capability with their "Time Re-Mapping" function.

The function is not available in X5 but Version X6 (now available) DOES allow for varying speed throughout a clip by means of key frames.

click on the clip in the timeline and open the 'Options' panel and locate the 'Variable Speed' icon - click on it to set a speed at various points throughout the clip - VS will fade between them

Note the information in the setting window that this will remove the audio from the clip - because otherwise you will get some very strange noises

Thanks for the reply BrianCee. This new to X6 feature works pretty well though Premier Elements 11 may be a bit easier and more flexible. This will suffice and I have no intention of changing to Adobe PE 11.

Now if you can tell me how to get the "promised" additional music for download that will be great. I need something to replace the removed sound from these speed modified clips.

There is a lot of music installed with the programme - you can also download additional music from the "Bonus content" icon in the "Do More" section of the Corel Guide.

The 'smartsound' auto music is also installed with the programme and it seems almost every time I go to use it additional free tracks are installed.

apart from those what other music were you promised.

there are also many websites that you can download free music from to use in your project.
