Re: X6 question
GeoVa is not asking about audio tracks in the editing section - he wants to know if he can add additional - preferably selectable - audio tracks to his final video on DVD - so that his viewers can select using the remote control which language they want to lisyen to while watching his videos .
I cannot see that putting extra video in at the editing stage is going to do that.

Re: X6 question
Hmmm... I didn't get that from his initial question at all. I reads to me like he's looking for additional audio tracks for editing, since he referred to having layers of sound for fight scenes. It wouldn't be the first time I read something incorrectly, however.

Re: X6 question
Yes GeoVa asked :-
this is different from the original question at the start of this topic which was :-GeoVa wrote: (2)DISC AUTHORING - MENU "audio tracks":
----------------------------------------
There is an option to add subtitle tracks but there is not an option to add audio tracks.
Why i can not add and audio tracks?
If for example i want to make a video with 3 audio and 3 subtitle tracks standing for
English, Greek, and German languages, how can i do it?
Why CVS is not working like DVDWS2(DVD WORKSHOP 2), where you can create a multilanguage menu,
and from menu you can select which audio track, and which subtitle track you want?
Why DVDWS2 almost 10years before CVSX6 has MORE features regarding the disc authoring?

Re: X6 question
Yes, that's why I quoted the initial question when I posted an answer. Sorry about the confusion, however.BrianCee wrote:Yes GeoVa asked :-this is different from the original question at the start of this topic which was :-GeoVa wrote: (2)DISC AUTHORING - MENU "audio tracks":

Re: X6 question
Ah - now it's my turn to say sorry - I didn't notice you had quoted jecklehead and thought you were answering GeoVa - as you say confusing.
Sorry
note to self - must try to stop people hi-jacking a topic by asking different questions in an existing topic it does cause confusion

Re: X6 question
Hello,
Many thanks all of you trying to help with my problem.
Mr Ken says:
"As for the solution of your sync problem, I am glad that you resolved it. However, I am a little surprised that it was a question of changing from Upper to Lower Field First. Was your original video Lower Field First? If it was then of course you would have to maintain the same Field Order throughout the project, including burning. But if your original video was Upper Field First, then you would get other problems in the final disc if in the burning process you changed it to Lower Field First."
Mr Ken's above statement about LOWER and UPPER Fields, make me think.......
How can i find out if my original video is UPPER or LOWER field?
I try through file properties on windows explorer but there is not something to give such info.
Do you know, a piece of software, or a manner to find out?
Many thanks.

Re: X6 question
YES - the software you require is Corel VideoStudio
put your video in the timeline - RIGHT click over it - the pop out will tell you upper or lower plus other useful properties.

Hello,
Mnay thanks Mr BrianCee.
You have right.
For .mpg video files there is there.Excuse me because i have not see it.
But for .wmv is not there.
I suppose that the upper and lower fields are involved only for .mpg videos.
Do i understand correct?
Many thanks

Re: X6 question
No. There are a variety of other formats which also use Upper or Lower Field First. DV/AVI, for instance, uses Lower Field First.I suppose that the upper and lower fields are involved only for .mpg videos.
But WMV does not.
