As far as I know Corel no longer provide a Quick Time installer since X5.
I may however be wrong.
I do recall a user with a new Laptop installed X5 but not QuickTime, same issues as you.
Go to your Program and Features aka Add and Remove Programs and check for QuickTime, ignore anything called QuickTracks that’s part of Smart Sound.
You should also see an entry in Start -- Programs—QuickTime
Then go here

It refers to Windows 7, if it’s the wrong version then the install will/should terminate giving details.
You do need to confirm that QuickTime is installed on your system........
