problem with text

question on text. help says to choose a forground color and background color. Well, my forgraound has a circle with a slash through it. i.e. I can't use it. How do I get that back?

Under neath the foreground color are three buttons. 1) To change the type of color (solid, gradient, pattern) 2) To add a texture and 3) To make it transparent.

Transparent turns the color on or off. Just click the transparent button to bring the color option back.

Thank you - a great help. Now- I followed the tutorial on how to erase a background to replace with another. At first this worked well. Now while replacing with the new background it seems that some is replacing but some other areas in the checkerboard background area is not being replaced. i.e. hit and miss. amust be a setting of some kind. any ideas? Bob
