VideoStudio Program not working

Ok, heres the scoop,

Ive been messing around with the VS x3 that came preloaded on my computer and am very impressed with the over all features compared to WMM. Ive also tried putting together some projects getting used the program. But when adding clips, a few titles and audio the program stops working during playback. Dont know what to think about that. Im very decided on upgrading to the VS 5 or 6 but am wondering if those programs will do the same thing.

Any ideas and what to you all need from me to figure this out?

Are the video clips you added by any chance AVCHD? And if so, can you give us your computer specs, please? As you may be aware, you need a fairly powerful computer to edit and play AVCHD smoothly -- at the very least a decent Core 2 Duo, but preferably something even more powerful. And again, if using AVCHD, have your tried using SmartProxy, which I am pretty sure was in X3...
