Do More Icon Gone in X6 RESOLVED
Has anyone else noticed that the "Do More" Icon has disappeared in X6 from the Corel Guide splash screen, hopefully this is just a glitch from Corel and not an installation problem, not able to check X5 as I have just uninstalled it, but the Do More Icon is still there in X4.

Re: Do More Icon Gone in X6
not quite sure what you are referring to Robert - the splash screen has never contained any icons.
do you mean the Corel guide - which you can also open by clicking the orange 'clock' type icon in the top right corner of the VS window - there is a 'Do more' tab in there - I have never seen any other icon.
Either way I still have everything in X6 that I have always had

Sorry Brian, I do mean the 'Do More Button"at the top of the Corel Guide, I am no longer able to access the Template downloads, I even uninstalled then reinstalled X6 but still no "Do More "button.

Re: Do More Icon Gone in X6
Possibly Corel stopped the "Do More" on the trial versions?
I have a trial version, and it's now gone.

Hi Robert
To the lower left of the guide is Do Not Display On Start up. select that
Close and open Video Studio, access the Guide using the orange button top right.
Does that make any difference?
It may just simply re-appear, I am not sure if Corel are still working on the downloads but certainly things do seem to disappear now and then.

Re: Do More Icon Gone in X6
I am still using X6 as a trial, The Do More button only disappeared this morning, up until last night it was there and functioning, it's possible that Corel have had a change of mind and disabled this function, but why, it would mean that the trial version is no longer a fully functioning product. I would not want to purchase and still find the button missing

Re: Do More Icon Gone in X6
Hi
As far as I know the trial versions never allowed for additional downloads, the Do-More became available after registering the product with Corel, obviously that’s after purchase.
Older versions although fully functioning were cut down reducing the libraries content. This reduced the file size by half making for faster downloads.
Lately the trial program has been complete, some 1.4 Gb fully populating the libraries and menu templates.
My version of X4 has about 6 clips in the library, the remainder being added by installing a Contents Pack, again available after purchase.
I don’t think you should expect the extra contents that’s afforded to the purchase version. As it was available with the trial version I think that was by mistake on Corels part.

Re: Do More Icon Gone in X6
Against my better judgement I purchased and installed the full version of X6 Ultimate, guess what, the 'Do More" button is still missing, I reinstalled again, then installed the bonus pack, but no "Do More" so where to now

Re: Do More Icon Gone in X6
Hi Robert
Can you confirm that you have registered the software with Corel.
You may find that the links from the Corel Guide a little slow to activate, but once there will always show, assuming they do not have a problem with the server.
I was seeing a different content to that of Windows 7 , then the XP pc Do More list miraculously re-set its self.
Corel did have a problem with some downloads installing to X5, but should be cured now.
Even so I think they are still working on the Guide……..
And yes like Brian I think you should badger them whilst you have the free technical support

Re: Do More Icon Gone in X6
Response from Corel Support,
Thank you for contacting Corel Customer Support.
Reset the program to its default settings:
In order to reset VideoStudio Pro X6 to its factory default setting, you will need to rename or remove a specific folder under your User Profile folder.
Before performing this procedure, please ensure that VideoStudio Pro X6 is not running.
Note: This will reset your library and you may need to re-import your videos once completed.
On Windows Vista/7:
Click on Start.
Click in the search box at the bottom of the Start menu.
Type in: %appdata% and hit enter.
In the new window, find the Ulead Systems folder.
Open the Ulead Systems folder.
Open the Corel VideoStudio Pro folder.
There should be a folder named 16.0 here.
Rename 16.0 to 16.0_old.
Launch VideoStudio Pro X6.
Once you have renamed the folder, VideoStudio Pro X6 will now reset to its factory default settings when you launch the program.
Please do not hesitate to contact us with any further questions.
Well that did not work so now waiting for further advice from support. Support make it impossible to add an attachment to a question, it states that attachments can only be made via a Gmail or Yahoo!Mail account, neither of which I have
