Trouble with color filter

I've got myself in trouble I'm afraid.
I have VS8 and changed the color filter when I cropped a frame, now I can't get my original color back in the color palette.
I'm getting "Color has been changed by a filter
RGB 255.255.34 = RGB 214.214.29
How do I get my nice yellow back?

This is something to do with the TV system, the details of which escape me. It's like VS saying 'you want that colour? OK, but in the TV system you have (NTSC?) the settings and colour pallette are different; to make it look like that on the screen we will change the numbers for you." So it should be OK in the end.
If you don't want to do that, look up Preferences/Edit, and UNCHECK Apply Color Filter.

Carol,
Try using the UNDO button (maybe several times) in the Edit menu to restore the project to the state it was in before you applied the fileter.

the preference/edit , uncheck 'applycolor filter' worked!
