I have used Datacolor Spyder to calibrate my monitor but I'm not sure if I should select the new color profile in the color working space preference or not. If I select the new profile every time I open an image I get a warning about the embedded profile is being converted.
What is the recommended setup for color workspace - attached is my default setting
Monitor calibration

Re: Monitor calibration
I've never used Spyder so I have to ask. Does Spyder create a color profile or a monitor profile?
If it's a monitor profile you'll want to use Color Management not Color Working Space.
As for the Color Working Space, when you save your image it'll be saved with this new working space profile. So the question becomes where are you distributing the image? As whatever medium is reading the image will usually use this profile to determine colors.

Re: Monitor calibration
Thanks for the reply, Its a monitor profile that I have and I've just checked in the color management box and it's set correctly. I'll leave the workspace set to the default setting (sRGB)
