Just wanna make sure that Windows 7 Home Premium is compatible with VS x5 probe fire purchasing. Also if someone could point out a great tutorial link that would be great too.
Thanks

I am not sure I understand your question. X5 was written for Win 7 so is certainly compatible with it. But I have no idea what you mean by "probe fire purchasing"...

The Gripps tutorials are good.
Why not go for X6. In the UK there is £16 difference on Amazon.

I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.

Re: VS X5 compatible/ windows 7 home premium
Is it better to download the program off of the interment or buy and install manually?
Thanks

The best option is whatever suits you.
I always download from the internet and choose to save the file and then copy the downloaded file to a DVD in case I need it again. That way I have the programme instantly. I would never 'Run' the file as it was downloading.
Many people though prefer to have an original disc and buy the boxed version , but that does mean you either have to go shopping and purchase it or wait (and pay for) it to be delivered.
A personal preference based a lot on how fast an internet download is in your area.

Re: VS X5 compatible/ windows 7 home premium
With earlier versions, the only advantages of getting the boxed version were that it provided a hard copy (very small!) of the VS Manual, and more importantly, the capacity to do a Repair to the original installation when you later reinserted the disc. With the download version, if you ran Set-up again, the only option it gave was to Uninstall. But it has been so long now since I had a hard disc version of VS that I don't even know if the Repair option still exists in the boxed edition of either X5 or X6...
