Even more to the point regarding Dolby, I even made sure that 'Enable 5.1 audio' was ticked in the Settings tab of X6... But as I have already said, that made no difference -- nor did converting it to 2 channel Dolby.

"Fixing" VS will not be simple I think. As far as I know the problem relates to how audio vs video is being processed/synched on the bit/byte level. I hope I am wrong...On audio bitrate modulation see e.g. http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/apr98/a ... netix.html
