VideoStudio pro x3

Post by seege »

Hey guys just registered for the forum. Long story short, I've been using WMM for all my productions and have had problems currently. With the importing of clips, audio and burning of DVD's. When I first started making home movies I dabbled in the VideoStudio Pro x3 and thought it was too complicated. Now I'm wanting something more and have decided to try and use it.

So here's the question. I notice that I do not have the Burn option on my menu. Again this program came on the computer when I purchased in 2011. I'm running an HP Laptop with Windows 7 premium vista if that sounds correct. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Not too savy on computers but learn as I go. Wondering if this program is a scaled down version of the StudioVideo Pro x3 and have to add that feature somehow.

Thanks

Hello - since your question is about VideoStudio I have moved it to the VideoStudio forum.

Since VideoStudio came preloaded on your computer it may be a cut down version - but X3 did not have an internal burn module - it was an experiment by Corel (Thankfully never repeated) to remove the well established authoring module from VideoStudio and replace it with a separate standalone programme called MovieFactory - you may have that on your computer as well.

After it became clear that users did not like that arrangement the authoring module was put back for versions X4, X5 and X6

once you have edited in X3 you can export a DVD compliant mpeg video and take that into any DVD authoring programme you may have.

So in response to your answer. There is a program that I should remove? And also thinking of upgrading to the VideoStudio x5 or x6. Would this be compatible with my current computer?

Thanks for the help

Hi

Just to add, the DVD Movie Factory7Se that came with the program was down loaded after installing the Service Pack 1.—I think

If it is installed you will see it after doing Share Create Disc, you should see two options, do not use the 2010 option.

If it is not installed then DVD Factory Pro 2010 will open, I would simply close the program, it does not work properly.
