Corel Video Studio X6—Do More problem

Corel are aware of a problem in downloading the Menu and Title templates.
They are working on a solution which as far as I know will provide additional templates to the Do More list.
All I can say is be patient…….

I would advise that you do not download any of the following templates

Menu Pack
Menu Pack 2
All Title packs 5, 6, 7, and 8
All Font packs 1, 2, 3 and 4

All Instant Project Template approximately 74 download and install correctly.

Hi All

Corel informs us that the Do More content for Titles, Instant Project Templates and Menu packs are now available for download.

I have successfully downloaded and installed the two Menu Packs and Title packs. The instant Project Templates were not an issue.

Menu pack increases the DVD Galleries content
Smart Scene Menu from 12 to 22
Thumbnail Menu from 19 to 33
Text Menu to from 8 to 16

Menu Pack 2 increases the Bluray and Avchd gallery from 8 to 18

Installing the Title packs increase the library by 10 for each install.
Title packs 7 and 8 are available for download.
Afaik packs 1,2,3,4 are installed as part of the program.

If you do have any problems please let us know.

The install procedure still refers to installing the X5 menu pack.
Since this is X6, this is a somewhat disconcerting.

I no longer see a reference to X5 since the last Corel update.
I have cleaned my IE browser history maybe that’s the difference.

Can you tell us if the Menu Pack updated X6 or Xthe 5 Gallery

Hi - After an initial problem referencing X5 (on the home screen and also to downloading a pack of some sort), I have now managed to download everything other than Title Pack 8, Menu Pack and Menu Pack 2.

I am clicking on Download but nothing is happening?

Any thoughts? Thank you in advance.

Hi Alex

Can you check your Menu Gallery— (Share Create Disc).
The content should have increased as my earlier post.

Your Title Pack should increase the Title library by 10 for each pack installed.
I have installed 7 and 8 and see 54 Title thumbnails.

The Instant Project Templates should install creating folders in your VSPTemplates folder, here:-

C:\Documents and Settings\Trevor\My Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\VSPTemplate

For each template folder the Instant Project Library should show in the Custom section.

And can you help me, Can you first update your profile to include your PC specification, thanks.
Otherwise what operating system are you using.?
Now can you tell me how many downloads are available for you via the do-more window. Thanks

Hi All

I have a very similar problem, On Sunday the 17 March I purchased video studio pro x6 Ultimate
this is my first Corel Studio install so I dont have any issues there with previous installs the install went OK and also the Ultimate Pack
however I don't Have a do More Tab so I cannot even try to download anymore content.

I contacted support I they said I must switch off the pop up blokkers in my browsers and purge them which I did
this has not helped I do have a link on the side of the PoP Up window saying " do more" ...Looks like a hyperlink
but clicking on this just refreshes the video in the window there is no tab at the top for Do More... only Home Tab, learn Tab, and Messages Tab
no Do More Tab...

You guys any idea what has happened..

I assume you ran the trial version first.
Did you uninstall the trial then install the new version?

Thanks for the welcome.

This looks interesting ! yep I downloaded a trial version which was not the ultimate version, but the standard Package
bought it online and they sent me a link for the ultimate package and another link for the program itself.
I just put the licence code into the trial...and yes it worked... also the ultimate package worked.

Support have told me now to disable firewall, antivirus, etc and download a fresh copy.
Obviously I will download the program from my email link because it looks like a different file as the Trial..

Referring to your link in post, unfortunately I can only do this when I get home from work tonight but i will let you know what Happens
the strange thing is everything works except the " Do More" tab in the start up window is missing ?

coming back to this problem I indeed downloaded the software via the link
and now it says Ultimate... installed no problem.

And yes now I have the "do more" Tab and everything works great
thank you again for the info I am also a happy camper now.

The computer I have VS x6 on is not connected to the Internet. Can I get access to these "Do More" files using a different computer, then move the files over to the x6 computer?

Yes the files could be transferred from one pc to the other.

Not the font packs as these are installed directly to Windows Font folder, somewhere.

All downloads are saved to a Corel folder aptly named Downloads.
The folder structure may be hidden by your operating system.

For XP here :-C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Corel\Downloads

Windows 7 maybe C/Program Data??????????

The folders have a strange names similar to 540230539_807001 so don’t readily identify the content.

I would download the Menu Packs first, then save the .exe files.
Same for the Title packs………..

Then download the Instant Project Templates and let them install to the VSPTemplate folder, copy the new folders to the other pc.
You can open each templates VSP to view the template before adding to VSPTemplate folder, then you only add the ones you wish to use. There are about a hundred instant project files. It would have been good if we could preview the effect before downloading
