Buying the upgrade overseas?

Post by MOY71 »

Hello all. A quick question....

I currently have VSX4 and am looking to upgrade to X6. I will be going to the US next week. The software there is cheaper by $10. Are there any issues with installation if I buy the upgrade there? I am based in Sydney, Australia.

THanks!

You need to make sure the version you get is compatable with your TV standards and so on. Being in the UK, I need to bias to PAL and 50i. I know that you can switch inside VS6 to PAL or NTSC but I prefer the version from this country's supplier.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.

Hi MOY71,

You should have no problem buying overseas, when I purchased X4, then upgraded to X5, I obtained both from Canada and have never had any compatibility issues.

Hi

I also purchase from the US Corel site, being in the UK I choose the download versions. Even though I have to pay 20% vat the price is still much cheaper than buying in the UK.
No problems in installing, the product supports both Pal and Ntsc.

Go to the Corel Store and change the country location, top right, you can then compare prices.

Search the web for discount codes, you may find a 10% discount some where? I think a member mentioned this in a recent post.
