Fujifilm X-E1

Post by RadekS »

Hi guys,

Do you know whether Corel plans to support the X-E1?

I've been using the old good Bibble and my Canon on Linux, but recently bought an X-E1 and am out of luck... No updates of Aftershot, support like ... nothing else, to say politely.

I've learnt here this forum is not monitored by Corel, but at least people are active here, so maybe some insider.

Thanks,
R.

The problem is that there is no "insider". I am one of the Site Admin Team for this web board, and I have ASP, and so am probably the most "inside" you can get while not being a Corel employee. But I have no inside information at all about current (?) developments regarding ASP, and my emails concerning the product to Corel have gone unanswered now for several months. So it would be pure speculation for anyone but Corel -- who I'm glad you realise don't come here -- to say what cameras might be covered in some future upgrade... Sorry...

If new cameras with standard Bayer sensors haven't been supported, I don't see what hope there is for these Fuji cameras with non-Bayer sensors, which have been causing Adobe and Capture One so much trouble. I.e., if Corel won't do the (relatively) easy stuff it's hard to see them doing the really hard stuff.
