Hi,
VS9 crashes constantly when I go to the "Create CD" section and attempt to burn a CD. It doesn't crash immediately, it takes a bit of time before crashing. Here's what my Dr. Watson log showed for each instance of VS9 that crashed (divide by zero exception):

Hi Ron,
Long list of bumff... but the clues are in the list of processes.
Read the Sticky at the beginning of this forum which gives advice on how to prepare the PC for an editing and burning session with UVS.
First ..if you have an ISDN or ADSL Internet connection... disable it for the session.
Now you can turn off Norton Auto Protect and Norton AV Scanner. Ctrl-alt -delete will give you the list of apps and processes that are active. The AV processes in particular are really disruptive. Stop any application other than UVS, and stop any non-essential process or TSR that will be running in background while you are editing and burning... usually these place an icon in the system tray/notification area during system boot..
You say the PC crashes... do you mean a full-blooded GPF... or a reset? I think probably the latter. The computer shuts down and restarts just when you don't want it to.. I had a proper system crash due to Norton AV disputing memory address with UVS... almost wrote the drive off. Had to Low level format to clean off the bad sectors, before I could get NTFS back on (Running Windows XP).. Almost a new drive too..
