Hi Pat
I have the same problem that the downloads do not automatically install, I think it is a problem that I have caused rather than Video Studio. Enough said.
The Do More downloads are saved to a folder on the hard drive for more info read this post http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php ... 95#p267029
Once you locate the NewBlueTitlerEx.exe file, double click to install.
The Install Now window should disappear for good, it is however a pity that it does not indicate whats gonna be installed?
Terfyn,
are you saying that you get the Install Now window yet the file does not install. If yes that’s interesting as I thought it was something I had done?
By the way my problem affects all Do More downloads, it is not the old problem of downloading the wrong file, the X5 file.

Yes the Install Now window appears and disappears when I click on it. Then nothing happened.lata wrote:Terfyn,

Now I have NewBlue installed following the proceedure, outlined by Corel, shown in my last post.
The file downloaded from the Corel address shown is not the X5 version. It is "NewBlue Titler EX for Corel VideoStudio"
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.

Hi Terfyn
The Do-More downloads are saved to C/Program Data/Corel/Downloads
That to should be the X6 version, if it is the X5 version then delete it, unless you need it of course?

Re: New Blue Titler EX for Pro X6
The point is that when I downloaded from the "Do More" window, the file was for the X5 and would not load. The file supplied from Corel via e-mail seems to be a new version, presumably to work with X6. I have scrapped the X5 version.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.

Hi Terfyn
Yes I realise you downloaded a X5 version, Corel got it wrong when they first launched X6, the downloads were from a common server and provided X5 files by mistake.
Corel have fixed the download problems.
Along with the .EXE file was a HTM file, this gave details of the download URL which clearly showed as X5, now it shows as X6.
The original Do-More templates list had 76 available, Corel now provide 106 downloads, they were still working on updating the server so that may well have changed.
So with any download file from the Do-More do you have a problem installing it. That is does the Install Now window continue to show or does the file install OK when clicking “Install Now”

No the NewBlue was the only one that would not install. The address I gave on an earlier post worked OK for NewBlue So I have left it at that.lata wrote:Hi Terfyn

I note that the image for the NewBlue Titler is new suggesting a different program to the one I tried to load. I loaded the title fonts OK.

Hi Terfyn
Thanks for that, I have an issue with all downloads but feel it is something I have done to the pc rather than Video Studio. I just manually install everything I download. Not a problem, I think i am heading to a new install or a new pc.

Re: New Blue Titler EX for Pro X6
Regarding a new PC. After a number of happy years with XP, I reluctantly decided that, to progress with the new programs, (in my case Pinnacle Studio 15) I would have to invest in a new machine. My "new" machine is now out of date but I won't be changing until I am forced to by VS Pro X??? if it ever gets that far.
I started with a Z80 and 64 Kb (more than enough for a good programmer) and have gone steadily downhill from there but, at least, the current batch of programmes seem to work OK. The "Do More" downloads and installs have gone smoothly so far.
I have to admit that I rarely use all the "wonderful" extras and effects available on VS X6. The most exciting thing I have done is to turn my two Grandkids into ghosts walking along a deserted railway platform! I love a film that tells a good story and does not rely too much on electronic effects. So probably VideoStudio is wasted on me!
