Hi there,
I bought Paint Shop Pro X2 some time ago and it does everything I need it to. I have had to re-install it a few times without problems but recently re-installed it after having to rebuild my system and although I had put in the serial number, the ‘trial’ version still timed out and I can no longer get access to the software. It just comes up with “No asset found for trial download” when I try to start it and won’t allow me to do anything other than close the software.
I'm wondering whether there might have been some limitation on the number of times the softward could be installed? Though I can't see any such limitation in the order confirmation or on my account.
Please help!

Re: PSP X2: No asset found for trial download
Hi
Not sure I can help but I searched the knowledge Base and found some info regarding activation, however seems to refer to checking you are using the correct number. Maybe worth a read?
And I do not think there is a limitation on the amount of times you activate although I could be wrong, certainly I have installed Video Studio many times.
Error “Invalid Serial Number” during installation
Error “Invalid Serial Number/Activation Code” when activating a trial or download for all Corel software
Hope this helps

Re: PSP X2: No asset found for trial download
Thanks for trying, but the serial number format is certainly correct.
I've tried uninstalling the software and then re-installing it from the download on my Corel account page - but I still get the same error "No asset found for Trial Download" and it tells me that I have -9 days remaining.
Anyone else have any ideas?

Re: PSP X2: No asset found for trial download
Hmmm I seem to have solved it.
I disabled my internet, then started PSP X2 - which brought up a dialogue with "Activate now" button. Once I'd clicked on that it took me to a page that allowed you to enter the code, call support or connect to the internet to activate. I left the dialogue open and re-enabled my internet and then clicked on the "Connect to Internet" button - and the software activated correctly.
Note: I'd originally called support who told me that I'd have to pay them money to get support on the product. I will point out that this really wasn't a technical issue - but was instead a case of Corel's own systems messing up and preventing me from accessing my own, legally acquired software. It seemed more than a little churlish to expect a customer to pay for them to fix their own systems errors....
Anyhoo... all sorted now, I think... no thanks to Corel.

Hi
Glad you have managed to get it working.
There have been some issues regarding the internet and a Browser manager
From the Corel Knowledge Base maybe worth a read.
