I have finished a family project (mainly images with titles) for my granddaughter and burned it to DVD. I included quite a few photos of her ancestors and titled them all. I am extremely happy with the result.
How I need to do the same for my grandson. This one will include all the photos I have from his birth to his latest 14th Birthday. I would like to copy the section on Ancestors from my granddaughter's DVD to this new one without having to add all the old photos again and add titles to each.
Would it be possible to load the original VSP file and delete all the other content and then add new content around it? Is there an easier and more "professional" way to do this?

You can simply file>save as>new name. Now you have an exact duplicate project and can adjust it to your hearts content.
Hi everybody!

yes - do exactly as me3 says - that will retain your old project in case you need it again and provide a new one where you can just delete the bits you do not want and add new clips wherever you want.

Hi
To add, if you wish to replace a photo with another, drag the new photo from the library whilst pressing the CTR key, then drop over the clip you wish to replace, a tool tip will show indicating “replace clip”.
The new photo will retain all / any edits, duration etc.
Then edit the title clip.
At least that method will retain the timelines in order.

Re: Copy & Paste from old project to new project
Thanks again for support. I thought that would work but was hoping there would be a more "sophisticated" way. Iata's suggestion re replacing photos has made me rethink and I may be able to follow the same general layout for more of the project but replace some of the4 content.
As usual thanks again for help
Marge.

Re: Copy & Paste from old project to new project
Hi Marge
There is another way of replacing images but works best for slide shows.
You have to control the image names.
Lets assume you have two folders each contains say 40 images, different images in the separate folders, if you were to re-name both folder content to use the same image names then you can easily use the re-link option to link to the second folder.
After creating the slide show from Folder One, First make a copy of the Project File, renaming folder one to sat Folder One Old, will cause a re-link.
If you now target folder two, all images within the project would be changed to use Folder Two Images.
