Crashes before I do anything

Downloaded a 30-day trial of VideoStudio 9.

I click on Capture, then click on Capture Video, and I get an error message saying "vstudio.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows." Same thing happens if I click on Capture, then click on Tools (but not if I click on Edit and then click on Tools). Basically, VideoStudio just doesn't want me to capture.

I had tried version 7 last year on the same PC, and had no problems.

Any ideas? Is Ulead unwilling to provide technical support on something like this until I buy the software? I don't really want to buy before I see that it works. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have a simular problem, tech support are dealing with it, i wont hold my breath.

Thank you! Uninstalling the Installer solved my immediate problem -- I can now capture stuff. So far, it does not seem to have broken anything else.

I also have an ATI AIW (Radeon) video card. Perhaps that has something to do with it?
