Help on making a VCD

Post by DCgigi »

I have a Kodak Easyshare cx7430 , I downloaded my video clips on to my computer and now have them in my document files. I am working with VideoStudio 9.0 , I open the files by clicking on the file on the right hand side and I am able to open the clips up drag them to the srtoyboard and play them , i can also edit and add titles but when I go to preview the finish project there is no sound and the video hardly movies. Are my files not compatable with this program ? If anyone can help that would be great!

Don't rely on the Preview to judge the final output, especially if the video you added to the project isn't already in VCD-compliant MPEG1 format.

Render your project with the titles etc. into a VCD-compliant MPEG1 file first, then start a new project, insert the MPEG1 file into it, and burn your disk.

ok I must be videostudio stupid because this still isnt working for me, I rendered the .mov file to a Mpeg1 file then went to new project inserted the Mpeg1 then burned my disk put it into my dvd player and the disk is not even being reconized, now i have burned other files not from my own digital camera on to a vcd and they worked fine on my dvd player so i am not sure what is wrong.

Are you certain that your DVD player supports VCDs? There is a database on VideoHelp.com that can tell you which formats your DVD player supports.
