Batch Convert - Support HD video, 4K video. All formats.

Post by windygamer »

I tried to set up a batch convert of a couple of projects to HD video, MPG4 and could not see a way.
Looks like Batch Convert has not kept up with the supported video formats of the rest of the product.
  • Don't we need batch convert to be able to convert to all the formats?
  • Don't we all post HD video [and in a year or so 4K video] to YouTube?
Kudos to CVSX6 for supporting 4K video. BTW. :o
Also pleasantly surprised that MP3 audio is supported as input for the audio track of videos. Figured that I'd have to convert it to something else manually.

Something that I've already wished for in previous versions: left-to-right support in the titles.

Oh... and to grow a technical support department.... one that is free for customers who actually bought this product time and again ...

What is "left-to-right" for titles?

I doubt that you will very much "free support" for any software ever again

One example would be a lower third tickertape with Arabic script which runs right to left; or any other alphabet which does likewise.

Sorry, my bad....
Meant "right-to-left" support like in Arabic or Hebrew. It is really frustrating to create title in Hebrew. Remind me of the days 20 years ago.... Its 2013 for crying out loud....

And for the free support: This is not frustrating, this is infuriating! Purchasing customers don't have a place to report an issue! Just report an issue! don't get back to me, just let me report it!

Sadly, VS X5 will probably be the last Corel product I'll ever purchase, including Pinnacle Studio. It's a shame. Really.
In a world where you can download hacked copies of any software, this practice of not-providing-support-to-purchasing-customers is a sham.

Unfortunate it is because of "hacked software " being freely available that companies are no longer giving out "free support"

I have to beg the differ. Most companies provide free support or at least a place to report an issue. Even puny Facebook apps companies give it for free, even for non-paying users, and a user value there is less than $5 (trust me on this one).

If buying cheap means paying a lot for support later, I'll prefer paying a little more when I purchase a product and knowing that someone is taking responsibility for what they sell.

I really appreciate the work that Ken, Lata, Brian and all of you are doing here Image , people like these are hard to come by and I'm really grateful. Really. But it's not tech support.

I'll probably switch to the competitors. I know of a "few" that still give free support...

To have the ability to import an editable marker on +/or in between clips in a sub library so that they can be recognised, organised , grouped and identified easily for timeline insertion

I would really like to see rotoscoping in x7. also, it is quite annoying, not being able to rotate an overlay track using the mouse. It would make things so much easier

Spec final. The specs for X7 should be pretty much defined and final by now, with alpha test of the new code version within Corel probably about to run soon and beta test out in Nov, if last year is a guide.

So, can the moderators persuade Corel to hint a bit about what will be in - or not in - the X7 version?

Web DVD's. Currently only Adobe offers this feature in Premiere Elements 10, 11, and in Encore. I love this feature. Give me this feature and a site to host them, and I will be a very happy customer.

Audio Equalizer. How it's not there already is nuts unless I can't find it. 10 band is plenty, heck i'll settle for low mid high 3 band.
Fot the record I raved about this product but needs eq asap.

From several .vsp-projects to output/convert/encode the single video file (Videodatei erstellen) in Batch with one film template (Filmvorlage)

DVD authoring was yesterday - today is streamed from the NAS to the TV. So I now render video projects (.vsp) in VideoStudio as individual files (Videodatei erstellen). With Full HD 50p projects which lasts a few minutes and I can not cut in this time. With several hundred clips from vacation it sucks.

Hence my request for a new batch function for the encoder of VideoStudio X7: Several .vsp-files to be issued in Batch with a self-defined film original/template (Filmvorlage). Just as the earlier DVD rendering: compile everything first and then go drink coffee ;-)

Greetings Curt
