Yep, I kinda requested the same thing :) That would be sooo cool!

As far as I'm concerned, super (or ultra) slow motion such as Twixtor is the only piece that's missing in VS X6. The default slow motion option in VS is too simple and doesn't provide enough quality. So either a combination of VS and Twixtor as a Plugin, or a build-in super slo mo option.

Ability to:
- maximize the multitrim window
-import flash/flv/swf files
- multiple main videotracks (on top of overlay tracks) for added effects (split screen, 4 ways split, subediting, fileparking)
- have X64 support

I think those new features (best on top) would make a new version perfect in my eyes :p

I recently moved and renamed two source video files. Let's call them A and B. And let's say that an existing VSP refers to A and B. After my move and rename, A is now called C and B is now called D.
My vsp has 30 clips from A and 30 from B.
I opened the vsp file and get the colllingwood stripes (sorry for non victorians - black and white) and a relink message.
I tell the relinker that A is now C and the first 30 clips magically get changed to point to C. Brilliant!!!!!!!!!
Now I click on the 31st clip and tell it to point to D, and it does, but unlike the A to C conversion, it only does one clip. So I have to go through the other 29 clips one by one and relink.
This is very lazy programming on corels part. Let me put it in pseudo code for future version:
Relink clip saying B to D
Check every other clip - If they are also B then convert them to D! SImple!
What was worse is that the developers didnt follow LOL (last open location).
For each clip that referred to B it opened up a folder browser that displayed the PARENT folder and I had to click on that to point to D, Rather than LOL which would have opened the parent folder directly allowing me to click on D.
As an IT developer I suspect this would take someone about 20 mins coding to fix - cause they got A to C done right!!!!!
Cheers
David
Hi David

After relinking A to C save the project, now open the project again to force VS to auto relink, the B to D should now relink as A to C.

Changing the individual file names may not re-link correctly, and I am surprised that A to C actually worked, I will give that a run?

Changing the folder location or re-naming the folder should relink all

Post updated

As a test.....
I changed the individual file/clip names and I had to re-link each clip in turn, I would expect this.
If I change the location or name of the folder then all clips will be re-linked
Thanks - finally had a chance to test this and it works. Opened the first time and relinked all the clips from the first srouce file. Closed it and opened it again to relink all the clips from the second source file - nice trick!

No multicam. While being 64bit (and I have yet to see actual tests comparing the two versions) is a step in the right direction, multicam would have been nice since it would round out the feature set.
I also would like a remake of the Smartsound interface. To be able to use ExpressTrack makes life so much easier and faster in working with Smartsound. All in all, a worth while upgrade.

Whoops, came back after a year to see this reply, and well, I just have to give my input since you, well, were addressing me.
canuck wrote:This is not our product and nobody here will fix anything. We are just users like you.
I am aware, didn't expect anyone to fix anything, and haven't bought the product. Makes all sense, right.
Also: the official Corel forum (under corel.com), but no Corel representatives. How anyone would *ever* assume that a visitor visiting the official forums should know that the representatives have abandoned the forum is beyond me. But anyway, I knew they abandoned it, didn't expect a fix, and didn't buy. So it all comes together.

Thank you BrianCee for going out of the way and linking it. I must have forgotten.
canuck wrote:If you think, "bugs" can be fixed in a day then you are dreaming!
I run several projects in my spare time, and a professional programmer. Bugs can be fixed in a day. If you cannot, then it's time to hire a proper programmer.
If you worked for me, and couldn't such a simple bug in a work-day, you'd have some problems during your performance review. I mean, eight hours, what do you do during them. Drink coffee all time?
