Re: VideoStudio Pro - Wishlist for Version X7
I'm attaching a few snapshots here and hopefully these will show you what I was trying to explain. Basically when I added a video file into Timeline, Video and Audio was together. I wanted to edit the Audio of that Video. I had to use the 'Split Audio' option to show Audio separate that I can edit. Where are the other Video Editing software that separate audio from video as soon as the video file added into Timeline.BrianCee wrote:but they are on the main interface - look at my image in my previous post - you can see the four audio tracks at the bottom.

Re: VideoStudio Pro - Wishlist for Version X7
If you click on the audio button -- the fourth icon to the right of the one highlighted in yellow, under the preview window in the images you posted -- that will show the audio waveform for the video, plus of course for any overlay or background music or voiceover you might have added. There is certainly no need to separate out the audio.

If there is no need to separate out the audio then how you will split and adjust the audio, like it is showing in the snapshot?Ken Berry wrote:If you click on the audio button -- the fourth icon to the right of the one highlighted in yellow, under the preview window in the images you posted -- that will show the audio waveform for the video, plus of course for any overlay or background music or voiceover you might have added. Re: VideoStudio Pro - Wishlist for Version X7
Hi
There are a few options in editing the audio levels.
First Option
Double click your clip in the top track, opens the options Panel, choose the Video Tab.
Audio controls 100% can be adjusted to reduce increase the overall volume.
Fade ramps to fade in out the audio, set the default fade duration from Preferences F6-Edit Tab
Timeline view
First to help in viewing the timeline frames change the Clip Display Mode to Thumbnail only again Preferences F6
Viewing the same layout use the scissors (lower right of preview screen) to cut the top track this will create separate virtual clips..
To replicate your last image I would make 5 cuts producing 6 separate clips
Once you have cut the top timeline apply your new audio levels muting the first third and fifth clip, they represent your gaps.
Second option
Sound Mixer, as mentioned by Ken select the icon 4th to right of icon showing in yellow, floating the mouse will show the tool tip as .sound mixer.
Now you should be able to identify the wave form.
This option is a little tricky to apply so I would advise you read the F1 help files regarding Sound Mixer, the process commonly known as Rubber Banding.
And lastly, Split Audio, does just that, take care not to go out of sync.
Not often I find the need to use split audio.
The above two techniques can also be applied to Split Audio
Split audio is not magic, it simply creates an audio clip placed in the Voice track, then mutes the video track.
Its all a matter of practice and getting used to the program and what it can do.

Re: VideoStudio Pro - Wishlist for Version X7
Add "fade WHITE" transition. It must be shame not to have this simple transition in 2013!

A fade to white is easily achieved by putting a white color block in the timeline with a 'crossfade' transition leading in to it.

Let's count.BrianCee wrote:A fade to white is easily achieved by putting a white color block in the timeline with a 'crossfade' transition leading in to it.
1. Put white block.
2.Put first transition.
3. Clicick "Ok" for the alert cause transition is bigger than white block
4.Put second transition.
5. Clicick "Ok" for the alert cause transition is bigger than white block
6. Difficult to make transition bigger or smaller.
If i'll have a normal white transition, it will take
1. Put white transition.
2. Easy to make transition bigger or smaller.
And of course you can not copy all this "sandwich", I can only copy white block.
Now i try to use "Flashback" transition with customization( first 4 parameters on max level and "flashlight")
It's also very strange that in 2013 year I can not copy transitions in project.
For example I customized transition and want to have it on differenet places. I must to customize them again and again.
It's so painfull. It looks like a cruel jibe from Corel programmers when you select a transition and see blocked "copy" function.

My wish list
1. If the software is double click second time after the first is click, prompt to close application.
2. block copying/deleting (time line) and able to timeline shift or no shift。
3. Quality pictues. I compare this software to other software, the picture quality is not so good. (though I set to 100%)
4. Support for a s s subtitles lyrics
5. More official transitions (like cartoon, music notes, sports, etc)
6. Have color at track begining portion to differentiate for different X version to let us know if the project can save to lower version.
7. Have a easy audio menu setting for the audio track .
That all for what I can think of, today.

The current version,X6 does not provide 1980x1080,50p,28 mbps rendering in MPEG-2 while Power director V.11 and V.12 does.
Hope they add this

Re: VideoStudio Pro - Wishlist for Version X7
Would like fix to what seems to be a bug in the DVD label printing feature. In ProX6 I get the label made, ask it to print and it does things like print white font black or omits parts of the label. I'm using an HP Deskjet 6940. Thanks

Re: VideoStudio Pro - Wishlist for Version X7
Hi Candy
Have you posted this to Video Studio forum, it may be a problem with your settings rather than a design of the program.
I don’t use print label software anymore but print direct to disc.
I am sure others may use print label.
Given time I will give the process a run to see what it prints for me.
