How can I arrange my photos?

Post by Gretchen Tapp »

I just bought the program, so I'm a newby to this!
I have imported all of my photos for my slide show & did the auto-arrange.
But I still want to move sections of my photos around.
Is there an easy way to do this?

Also, I loaded all of the photos that I took of this subject which totals to about 661 photos. I am not going to use them all.
Is it easier to load all of the pictures & then delete them?
Or load only the ones that I want (in the order that I want)? Then I would just keep adding photos.

How can I move an individual photo from one spot to another?

Lots of questions.
Thanks!

Just drag it to where you want it.

That's a lot of pictures ... you'll find it will be easier to work with in smaller groups of photos, and in making the smaller groups you'll be able to find music to add to the interest.

I break them up into about 30-36 photo sections but I have also worked with some up to 50, you can delete from those same groups and cut and paste another one in from another group. (with this larger group, just remember if your pulling in music as a background, you'll need to determine the amount of photos by the length of your song. I personally don't like the songs just cutting off before its finished)
Moving them around within the group is so easy by clicking, holding down the mouse on the picture and moving it to wherever you want it and drop.

You can break your large photo selection up by clicking on the icon at the top of your Pictureshow with the cutter, about 5th on in on left

hope this has helped a little bit ....

You might want to use Photo Explorer to arrange and manage your picture files. This software is bundled with PictureShow if you buy the full version.

You can create new folders and subdirectories then copy the picture files you want to use for your slideshow - 1 folder per slideshow chapter you're going to create. Then you might want to rename and rearrange the picture files according to the order you want it to take. Use Photo Explorer's "Auto Rename" function. Highlight the files you want to rename then click "Ctrl+U" for the shortcut key.
