Seems like the greatest number of text chapters one can have on a DVD menu screen is 8. On the other hand, there is one thumbnail template that permits 9 (although the layout option under customize still only permits no more than 8 in one screen). Are these real limits? I would have liked to have had 9 text chapter links on one screen but can't see anyway to get it. All in all I'd like to have an option where one builds a menu from scratch (background, buttons, etc), with a drop down list of chapter points so one can link them with text or thumbnails (a la Pinnacle).

Have a look here - a number of menus with large numbers of text and thumbnail choices - all 4:3 I am afraid but you it might be possible to stretch them or put something around them - or even contact the maker and see what he can do :-

this is the only program that can edit and create a UFO, and ultimately the DVD Menu, the program is no longer supported by Corel but is still available for purchase via the US site, not sure if they offer a trial.

But if you wish to create your own menu templates than that the program.

By the way VS 9 was the last version to use a 12 thumbnail menu………
