VS X5 video quality question
I have some older DVDs that I converted on VS 10 and from VCR to DVD dubbing on my VCR/DVD recorder. I ripped the DVDs on my computer. Is there a way to improve the video quality on X5? I know when you capture there are settings for saturation, etc. I will be importing the video from my computer and do not see any choices like I do when I am on the capture menu. Thanks!!

Re: VS X5 video quality question
Hi
When you capture from an analogue source you are usually given the option of modifying the Colour/Brightness during capture, the video stream being re-coded during capture.
When you import from the Disc a DVD the files are copied from the disc to the pc without re-coding so no changes in the video.
Video Studio does however provide a few FX filters that may enhance the look,
Advanced De-Noise
Auto Exposure
Auto Levels
Brightness
To name but a few, I can only say you would have to experiment, I do find overdoing the filters can make things worse, You can add up to 5 separate filters to your video, although probably 2 would suffice.
