I have been running Paint Shop Pro X on my laptop for several years now. Starting last week I have been unable to start the program and I receive an error -
"This copy of PaintShop Pro has been damaged or illegally modified error when trying to launch."
Yesterday I un-installed the application and re-installed and I had use of the application for the day.
I have checked Services and Protexis is not running anywhere on my system.
As far as system changes the only things that have occurred recently is that I ran Windows Update to get the latest patches and I installed Adobe Create Suite with Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
Does anyone have any ideas to assist?

Re: Damaged or Illegally Modified
Hi
As far as I know Protexis needs to be running.
Some older versions did not use Protexis, but the error message you see points to Protexis being disabled, make sure it is running and not disabled.
