Text... Pixels or points

Post by sigmaker4u »

Someone I don't know as asked me to do something with there name in it and they said they would like font size 35. I don't want to ask them as I am the one who should know. Would they mean pixels or points and that is something they should tell me or is it obviously going to mean.. say, pixels
I used to be indecisive, now, I just can't make up my mind.

That depends on who it is really. And you should ask them.

I imagine most people are used to Points because that's what they use in Word, and Publisher, and PowerPoint (or their other equivalents). But if the person thinks in pixels, and the image is small enough to warrant 35 pixels, or the text is meant to be that small, they could mean pixels.

My assumption would be Points but just ask. There's nothing wrong with asking, in fact that's the right move. Don't want to give them something they didn't ask for based soley on an assumption.
